Quidem

Quidem is a UK based media company which operates radio stations.

Quidem is a new company established by Steve Orchard and Wendy Pallot, former Group Operations Director and former Group Finance Director respectively of GCap Media, to work in the local radio sector. Mr Orchard is the chief executive of the new company and Wendy Pallot the chairman. The company has been financed privately. Former GCap Chief Executive Ralph Bernard is a director of the company according to the records on the Companies House website. In June 2009, they purchased the Touch Radio Network of stations in the Midlands from Cumbria-based media company The CN Group for an undisclosed price. In October 2010 former Touch station Banbury Sound rejoined the network.

The stations are: 107.6 Banbury Sound, 107.3 Touch FM, 102 Touch FM, 96.2 Touch FM, 101.6 & 102.4 Touch FM and 107.1 Rugby FM.

The Touch Radio Network, which covers Banbury, Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon, Coventry, Rugby and Tamworth areas, broadcast to an adult population of 808,000 as Touch FM, Banbury Sound and Rugby FM.[1] Wayne Lowery the former Group Sales Director of GWR Radio Group joined as Commercial Director in 2011

Upon selling the stations, CN chief executive Robin Burgess said: "We have made great strides with the development of our Touch brand in the Midlands including efficiencies achieved by the co-location at Holly Farm. We now feel Quidem is best suited to take Touch forward in the future" .[2]
